Indiana Glass began producing this pattern in 1903. In 1903, Indiana Glass was operating as National Glass, Factory #1. Indiana Glass began operating as the Indiana Glass Company in 1904 when a group of investors, lead by Frank Merry, leased Factory #1 from National Glass.
The original name for this pattern was Venus. This pattern is also known as Loop and Jewel or the Jewel and Festoon pattern. Production continued for a few years and was was limited to mainly plain, crystal glass.
