Stippled Sandbur, also known as Stippled Star Variant, was first produced by Beatty - Brady. In 1899 National Glass purchased the Beatty - Brady Company and continued to produce this pattern. From 1899 to 1903, Indiana Glass was operating as National Glass, Factory #1. Indiana Glass began operating as the Indiana Glass Company in 1904 when a group of investors, lead by Frank Merry, leased Factory #1 from National Glass. Stippled Sandbur was produced throughout this time period and beyond. It was made in crystal.
